For me, recording one’s point of view is a way of praying without ceasing, qualifying one’s being as moments show themselves along the Way.…people, places, things. We may ask, “Where do I stand in this moment? What do I see?”  As we continue walking the Way, and writing, gathering the pieces of a remembered life weaves the tapestry of a life’s journey…never ending, always revealing more.

I’ve loved to write fragments, remnants, philosophical reveries… my ever evolving understanding of astrology as a language, alchemy, spiritual epiphanies along the way. Sharing these words may inspire some, and for that, I am grateful.

As a small child I loved to close my eyes and squeeze them together as tight as I could so that images and colors would appear and dance together within my mind’s eye. Later on, at around age 10, my school class took a field trip to the Palomar Observatory in Southern California. I came home in awe of all I saw, the magnificence of the telescope itself and what we were shown deep in the Universe.

By creating a piece of art with no specific thought of what I want to see and allowing the work itself to speak, it feels like I am allowed to view the contents of Consciousness in form. An even greater gift is hearing what others “see” in a completed piece. They may have a completely different perspective – I am allowed inside their mind for a moment and we “see” together. It is like the invisible appearing right before our eyes. The moment itself becomes the teacher. Images may be used as contemplative tools, assisting one to go deeper within to a place of silence.
